After a quick lunch with the Colliers we were on our way across the high desert at the base of those majestic volcanoes.
Although it was quite warm that day we felt the need to explore one of the thermal baths sited frequently along the highway.
Run by local Maori, small cabanas with individual pools of HOT water are available for a 20 minute rental. It’s the pause that refreshes, and boils the soul.
