Wellington Botanic Garden

Wellington Botanic Garden

Taking the electric inclined trolley up to the top of the hill overlooking the city, you are deposited at the entrance of the Wellington Botanic Garden.

Horticulturaly speaking, the views out to the city are the most

interesting thing here. In fairness to the garden, there is a nice 20 minutes stroll down a winding path that leads you through several fairly conventional collections and displays, ultimately ending in the rose garden.

This garden is one of the largest rose gardens I have ever seen, again full of people.
Upon departing the rose garden, you find yourself once again close to city centre at street level.
